No. Tachi keeps you on native Bitcoin. Your Sats are secured on mainnet in a unique Per-Deposit P2TR Vault via the TAURUS (Threshold-Aggregated Uniquely-Rotated Unilateral-Signature) custody system. They are indexed as Virtual UTXOs (VTXOs) for high-velocity off-chain execution, meaning there are no bridges, wrapped tokens, or third-party custodians involved. Users and agents retain required signer keys and a cryptographically guaranteed unilateral exit path at all times.

Tachi locks native BTC in TAURUS vaults on Bitcoin Mainnet. Each deposit commits to a Taproot script tree containing a cooperative leaf and an exit leaf.

Every off-chain transaction is secured by a HAT (Hash-Accumulated Transaction) proof, which is recursively aggregated into a Recursive Inclusive Proof (RIP) and anchored directly to Bitcoin L1. State transitions are verified via sequential Schnorr signatures (1 User signature + 5-of-7 node signatures). If network liveness is ever compromised, users can recover funds unilaterally via the exit leaf after a 1008-block CSV timelock expires.

The SatVM modular execution environment supports multi-runtime programmability — Script, EVM, WASM, SVM, and ABCI — all in one composable environment running directly on actual Satoshis. Unlike other scaling solutions, SatVM encodes contract states and execution results directly into individual satoshis using cryptographic proofs.
